North and South Kerala

This
itinerary starts from Calicut and ends at Kovalam. Hence travel arrangements
will be from Mumbai or Cochin in the beginning and Trivandrum at the end

Day 1: Arrive - Calicut
Arrive Calicut and the representative will meet and transfer to the hotel for check in. In the evening you can go for sight seeing of Calicut which includes the Beypore. (Beypore was the prominent port and fishing harbor of ancient Kerala and was also a center for ship building industry. The boat-building yard here is famous for the Uru or Country Craft. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Wayanad
Morning drive to Wayanadu, it is encircled by tea estates and mist capped hills. These hills are covered with tropical rain forest. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Wayanadu
Today you will go for half-day trekking. Afternoon visit the tea and coffee plantations. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Trichur
Today morning after breakfast drive to Trichur. Evening visit the Kalamandalam, dance and music academy where training is given for Kerala Art forms such as Kathakali, Mohiniyattam etc and overnight stay in the resort on the banks of river Bharathapuzha.
Day 5: Cochin
Morning after breakfast drive to Cochin, known as the commercial capital of Kerala. En-route visit Punnathoor fort to watch elephants numbering more than 45. On arrival check in at Hotel. Evening witness the Kathakali dance performance, the dance drama of Kerala. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6: Cochin
Morning go for city tour of Cochin which includes Jewish Synagogue,
Mattancherry Palace. And the Chinese fishing nets. Afternoon for boat cruise
to see the nearby islands. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7: Alleppey
Morning after breakfast drive to Alleppey known as the rice bowl of Kerala. On arrival check into a backwater resort. Here you can enjoy the lively villages and backwaters. It is located on the banks of the backwater and you can witness various types of traditional activities like coir making, fishing, etc. Overnight at backwater resort.
Day 8: House Boat
From the resort Check into a traditional House Boat of Kerala. 24 hours cruise through the backwaters and stay overnight in the boat. A ride on the houseboat is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters. Overnight at Houseboat
Day 9: Kovalam
Morning
after breakfast drive to Kovalam, the beach resort of South India. A former
fishing village enchanted by the strips of golden sands laced with rich
greenery of coconut palms. Evening enjoy the beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Kovalam
Today morning at 9 Am drive to Kanyakumari. Enroute visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace (wooden palace), Suchindram Temple and the Vivekananda Rock. Witness the pooja ceremony at the Temple. Evening witness the sunset and later drive back to Kovalam Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Departure
Assisted transfer to airport or railway station for the onward journey.
